Day 1

I have decided to train for a 1/2 marathon. I am really excited and want to use this blog to track my progress and needs of improvement. So today was Day one and this is what I was supposed to do:

Monday: 32 min, walk 3 mins, run 1 min, Moderate Pace

Justin and I did it together which made it a whole lot more fun and not as dreadful. I might mention that it was 33 degrees outside which made working out harder but we made it. The cold weather makes it harder to breathe and my legs and toes felt like they were going to fall off! Thankfully, they didn't fall off but I think they will be sore tomorrow.

I also woke up early this morning and did a one mile walking video so I was pretty proud of myself for getting up. Tomorrow I am subbing and that will take a lot of energy out of me but I plan on doing the cross training tomorrow to stay on track.

I have also tried to buy some healthier foods to eat. Eating sandwiches at lunch and veggies instead of McDonalds or Bueno. And trying to eat smaller portions. I can't bare to throw away Christmas candy so I think I will just have to save it and eat a little each day as a reward. I can't help it! Ok more tomorrow...
